TWONISM II

Damon’s second book, Twonism II, is currently in production with a 2019 release date. Following up his first book on Twonism, he is to have the second completed by summer of 2019. Timothy Johnson is editing the book with Alex Krivanek helping with its designing. Damon has to date released two books including those of Twonism the first book and The Correspondence of Color, a book about color.

Fifty images illustrate the much awated chapters along with a full explanation of Twonism and its couterparts following in the forms of brief thoughts, essays, and poems. This book will provide readers and viewers with a thorough exploration of Freed’s work and thoughts on his dicipline of painting and life.

I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming display of the Inner Chapters, a suite of paintings and drawings that were started in New York in 2005 that are reaching their completion now. Please join us for this exciting exhibition of large scale paintings and small drawings at the Sager and Braudis gallery in Columbia, MO. 1025 East Walnut Street, 65201. Thank you! Four Point Perspective

I’m happy to announce my first museum show at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia, Missouri! The exhibition opens on September 27th, 2014 and runs until December 16th, 2014. The show will feature works by State Fair Community College’s art faculty including Paul Allen, Donny Luper, Shon Southers and Damon Freed. It is bound to be a show of diverse applications ranging from large scale sculpture, prints, and oil paintings, to acrylic and flashe on canvas. Please come show your support and enjoy a fun filled viewing experience!

Opening October 19th, 2012 and extending through November 24th, 2012 is Damon Freeds third solo show with the Bruno David Gallery in Saint Louis. I just added a new studio note titled A Note on Graduate School, four new paintings titled July Sky-Final Version, Damson Plum-Final Version, Cracked Vessel and Home and made some adjustments to the order of paintings as you scroll through the paintings page. I also changed the writings and paintings featured on the home page, finally! Sorry, I’m not too savvy at this website stuff. Check it out!
